An ordering app for a bakery's business customers.
At many bakeries, business orders come in by phone, messages and email, and someone copies them into a list. For one bakery we're building an app where the customer does that themselves.
The bakery sees exactly what has to be made ready, and for whom, each day.

Why not a webshop
A webshop is built for someone buying once. A business customer orders almost the same thing every week, has their own arrangements, and doesn't want to scroll through a catalogue. That needs a different screen.
Start to finish, without retyping.
- 01
Sign in
Every business customer has their own account and only sees the products the bakery has opened up for them.
- 02
Order
Type quantities instead of tapping endlessly. The standing order is in the basket with one tap; the customer only changes what differs.
- 03
Received
Every order gets its own number and is with the bakery straight away.
- 04
Daily sheet
The bakery sees per day what has to be baked and set aside.
- 05
Ready
When the order is ready, the customer is notified.
Onderdelen
Range per customer
The bakery decides per company which products are visible.
Standing orders
Whatever is the same every week is ready with one tap.
Delivery days
The bakery sets which days it delivers.
Daily sheet
One overview per day for the bakery.
Reminder
A weekly nudge to customers to order in time.
Their own brand
The bakery's logo, colours and range — not ours.
What it comes down to.
What you don't see from the outside, but what decides whether you can build on it.
- 01
Order numbers are issued inside a database transaction. Two customers ordering at the same moment never get the same number.
- 02
Admin functions, such as sending a notification to all customers, check on the server whether you really are an administrator. A hidden button is not security.
- 03
A customer can't write an order straight into the database; everything goes through the server. Those database rules have their own tests.
- 04
It's a web app that sits on the customer's home screen, with notifications, without a detour through an app store.
First, let's see whether it fits.
Half an hour, no obligation. Mostly we ask questions about how the work runs today. If it fits, we come in for phase one. If it doesn't, we say so right away.
